CII’s Excon Registration Management 10 editions, 20 years!

CII organises the biggest construction equipment event in South Asia by the name EXCON, in India. CII has successfully completed 10 editions of Excon in the past 20 odd years, beginning since the year 2000. HostIndia Events is proud to be a part of all the 10 editions of the CII’s Excon events for over 20 years. HostIndia Events has been the Event registration management company of all Excon Events held so far.

Excon attracts over 1000 exhibitors and over 50000 visitors to the event. Excon is the biggest tradeshow to be held in South India and one of the biggest in the world in the construction equipment’s space. The initial chapters of these events were held in Palace Grounds, Bangalore and subsequently moved to BIEC, Bangalore.

Registration Management of Excon

Onsite Registration management for Excon begins 5 days prior to the Exhibition start date. However, there is a 2 month long pre-event online registration process too. HostIndia introduced one of the earliest automated online badge printing mechanisms for Excon. This helped visitors to register themselves Online and self-print the badges before arriving on site. Once they arrive on-site their badge would be scanned and given a lanyard. This process helped visitors save time at the onsite counters of Excon which attracts over10000 visitors per day. This mechanism even helped ease some pressure on the Registration counters.

Advanced registration mechanisms deployed in Excon events include Online Automated Badge, Barcode/QR Code, Registration Kiosks, Visitor movement tracking etc. HostIndia team analyses visiting patterns of exhibition visitors in India. Their preferred visiting hours, visiting days, the time they spend in the exhibition, their repeating pattern and much more are analysed. A detailed post-event report & analysis help organisers plan the show better.

Measuring Marketing Campaign Success

In one of the rarest of rare initiatives, CII and HostIndia teams successfully implemented a mechanism to measure the success of the marketing campaigns carried out to promote Excon. With this CII were able to measure and compare the success rate of various reach-out campaigns such as PR, Roadshows, Direct Mailers, Advertising etc.

Elecrama Exhibition Visitor Footfall drive

HostIndia Events supported the prestigious ELCRAMA 2014 event held in Bangalore, India in multiple service spaces. The most significant service that HostIndia provided for the show was exhibition visitor footfall drive or tradeshow visitor acquisition. The activity also included a massive database profiling exercise pre-event.

Going by the number of exhibitors, the size of the exhibition and the visitor numbers, Elecrama is one of the top 5 Trade fairs that take place in India. While the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association, IEEMA, manages the entire show, HostIndia Events managed a massive campaign for exhibition visitor footfall drive. HostIndia events also supported the Elecrama Events’ Management team with the Senior Event Management professionals, Elecrama Registration Management staff, VIP Transportation support, Golf Carts on hire and the likes.

Exhibition Visitor Footfall Drive

HostIndia Events turned around a huge chunk of the database within weeks and provided progress reports on a daily basis. A multi-touchpoint reach-out program to drive visitor footfall was planned. HostIndia deployed a large tele team, email, online & mobile marketing campaigns to cover the list of prospective visitors from across India. Best of the strategies and integrated marketing communication techniques were employed. The trade show was a huge success ever in terms of exhibitor participation and visitors. The visitor turnout at the tradeshow was a record. Post-event, organisers of the show issued appreciation certificate to HostIndia Events & Marketing Pvt. Limited.

Exhibition on Denims & Jeans Trends

For the 1st India Edition of the Denims and Jeans Business to Business trade show, HostIndia were appointed the Show managers. This show had one of the rarest ask in the history of Exhibition Show Management and that was to conceptualise, design and manufacture stalls for the shell schemes. The idea was to create robust MS stall that can bear the weight of the Hangars that hold 100s of Denims on Display. The regular Octonorm booths were out of question and the show was being held in India after many successful events in Vietnam and Dhaka.

We at HostIndia Events conceptualised, designed and created Shell scheme booths using MS channels, Mesh like Fabric and MDF panel walls. The booths also had New Style Facia, in built hangars for the Denims Display, Shelves, Large tables that were designed and produced as well. Lighting requirements for such events are 10 times higher when compared with the regular exhibitions. A Designer Trend wall that displayed all the new trends in Denims was the highlight of the event. There were a few new look brandings and signages as well. Exhibitors were also provided with individual display shelves, manufactured A-hangars and branding support.

HostIndia took care of every aspect of the show from Venue coordination to vendor management to security to complete infrastructure & branding to Conference AV Set up and management.

A specially created Trend Wall that allows display of new trends in Denims, Special zones, Unconventional Brandings and packed conference were also the key highlights of the show.
